Our Vision
We have a vision of what God is calling church families across our nation to be... beacons of light, burning brightly to shine the hope of the Kingdom in each community. A vision of little fires everywhere, started by single sparks in homes and small church gatherings that quickly spread out to their surrounding neighbourhood.

God has clearly told us that the first step when starting a fire is to ignite it! We are therefore beginning this exciting journey by launching Ignite Church as one of these beacons. A small but mighty group of Christians who meet in Shepshed each Sunday to worship, pray, break bread together, and disciple one another. We have chosen to make Jesus our Lord and Saviour and our mission is to shine the good news of his Kingdom to those around us (Isaiah 60).
We are committed to being the set apart Church we've been called to be. The fuel is our lives laid down in worship and surrender to God. The fire is the anointing of his Holy Spirit as we look to him to empower us to do his work. We are learning together how to truly be a lamp on a stand, and the salt of the earth in the midst of our increasingly post-modern, post truth and post Christian culture.
Our Values
The Radical Middle
A borrowed phrase from the Vineyard Churches, God has impressed strongly on us the need to hold the tension between what can sometimes seem like paradoxes of truth. A need to hold to the "radical middle" as we navigate forward.
The very nature of God is that he is fully gracious, merciful and gentle; whilst also being fully just, righteous and holy. We must hold all these characteristics in balance or we risk forming a distorted image of God. The same need for balance and tension runs right through all Kingdom truth.
Picture a steering wheel, or ships wheel with the radical middle at the centre. As we navigate forward, we must constantly make micro-adjustments to the wheel to follow the course laid out in front of us. Each point of the wheel has a value we wish to hold in tension. Our focus constantly shifts between these values as we are led forward by the Holy Spirit.
